A DRUG that treats epilepsy and blocks some addictive effects of cocaine may help smokers kick the habit. A team led by Stephen Dewey at the Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, New York, looked at the effects of the epilepsy drug gamma-vinyl GABA (GVG) on rats and baboons.
